The AOC Touraine Noble Joué is what we call a Vin Gris, it is a perfect assemblage of:
- Pinot Meunier; for its powerful body,
- Pinot Gris; for its fruity finesse
- Pinot Noir; to complete its roundess and length.
The wine is cultivated on 40 hectares only making it a small batch wine with extreme care.
Our estate is situated in the south of the medieval city of Tours, where our temperature is influenced by the oceans. The vines lay on limestone, chalky clay & siliceous grounds which once used to be the playing field of King Louis XI.
We are proud to be the grow and take care of one of the oldest and smallest wine appellation of the Loire Valley. The Noble Joué disappeared for a brief period of time due to urbanization of the area.
